Enrollment Questions
What is the cut-off age and date for my child to attend preschool?
Children must be 3 years old to attend City Park, and we accept 2-year-olds at Washington Park. All students must be potty trained.
You can enroll your child before they reach the accepted ages and pay for the months or weeks that they miss, but they will not be able to attend until the day they reach the accepted age. The first day of school for the 2022-2023 school year is Wednesday, August 17, 2022.
Do you have a waitlist for preschool? How do I get on the waitlist?
We currently have a waitlist for our City Park preschool program; it is typically very long. To get on the waitlist, you will need to fill out our online application. Washington Park does not have a waitlist right now.
Please visit the Enrollment Process at the bottom of this page for more information.
What is the cut-off age and date for my child to attend kindergarten?
Children can begin kindergarten at age 4, but they must turn 5 by the end of October.
Do you have a waitlist for kindergarten? How do I get on the waitlist?
We currently do not have a waitlist for our kindergarten program.
When does the enrollment process begin, and how does it work?
We accept applications on a rolling basis. If an opening in a class presents itself during the school year, we will refer to our waitlist to fill the opening. We recommend you apply at your earliest convenience to have a better chance at getting accepted. To get on the waitlist, you will need to fill out our online application.
Enrollment for the fall begins in February or March of that same year. Before open enrollment begins, priority enrollment takes place, allowing for families who are already enrolled at Worldmind to have priority in enrollment before opening it up to the public. For more information on the process of enrollment, please visit the Enrollment Process at the bottom of this page.
Do you have dates for deadlines regarding the enrollment process?
Because we accept applications on a rolling basis throughout the year, we don’t have any deadlines for applying. We do recommend that you apply at your earliest convenience to have a better chance at getting accepted. Filling out our online application will add you to our waitlist.
We send out acceptance letters at the beginning of March; after the acceptance letter is sent, you will have 5 to 10 days to sign and return the contract and pay a non-refundable deposit of $1000. This deposit will hold your spot for the upcoming school year and will be applied to the tuition balance.
Are some classes more popular and therefore harder to be accepted into than others?
Our full-day preschool classes at City Park are our most popular and fill up quickly.
Will I be notified if my child is not accepted?
Yes. We will call you to notify you and inform you on our current openings and waitlist.
