We’re looking forward to seeing everyone at our summer camps!
During this time of uncertainty, we would like to provide as much information to you as possible about our programming and how we intend to protect our community moving forward. We know that this time has been difficult for you, and we would like to give you some sense of certainty for the near future so you are able to make summer plans. Our priority in reopening this summer is to keep you all safe and healthy, along with feeling comfortable with your children re-entering the world to return to their teachers and peers.
With a focus on the health and safety of children and staff, we are following official health guidelines to ensure our community is protected during our summer season and beyond
. Our programming will continue with these orders in mind:
All staff and children will be screened, evaluated, and monitored for illness. Worldmind staff will take students’ temperatures upon arrival. Please keep your child at home if they are sick or any person in the household is sick. Staff and children will be sent home if they are ill upon arrival; they will be excluded from programming if they are experiencing the following symptoms:
Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
Chills, body aches, sore throat, headache, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, runny nose
All staff will wear masks.
Children are required to have a mask. Falling in line with our ethos of taking care of ourselves, others, and the environment, teachers will work with students on appropriate times to wear their mask to keep themselves and others safe.
Hand washing guidance will be given to students, along with basic hygiene procedures like use of tissues, protecting coughs and sneezes, and proper tissue disposal.
Alcohol-based hand sanitizer will also be available for use.
Children will be encouraged to keep their hands away from their eyes, nose and mouth.
Staff will disinfect frequently touched surfaces using COVID-19 effective cleaner.
Cleaning products will be kept out of reach from children.
Physical distancing will be practiced whenever possible.
Programs will be capped at small groups to ensure COVID-19 transmission is reduced.
Drop-off and pick-up instructions:
During drop-off and pick-up, please make sure everyone has a mask on. Once you check in with the teacher, they will take your student’s temperature – if the temperature is below 100°F, they can join the class. If it is over 100° F, they must return home.
. Bathrooms and handwashing:
We will have our own portable camping toilet and pop-up pod for restrooms that only our program will be using. Teachers will clean the toilet after each use. See photos below.
Outside of the toilet will be a portable hand washing station so students can wash their hands with soap and water after using the restroom, before eating, and as teachers feel it is necessary to keep everyone healthy and safe.
